FAQ

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is your inclement weather policy?

Typically, if your pup will go, we will go! However, we will always put your dog’s safety first, so if it is too dangerous to venture out then walks/playgroups will be cancelled. If the weather is just too yucky to be outdoors (e.g. heavy rain, dangerously hot or cold, etc) walks and playgroups will be moved indoors where possible.

What is your holiday schedule?

We are closed on the following days:

  • New Year's Day (January 1)
  • Martin Luther King, Jr. Day (Third Monday in January)
  • Presidents’ Day (Third Monday in February)
  • Memorial Day (Last Monday in May)
  • Independence Day (July 4)
  • Labor Day (First Monday in September)
  • Columbus Day (Second Monday in October)
  • Veterans Day (November 11)
  • Thanksgiving Day (Fourth Thursday in November) and the day after Thanksgiving
  • Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and the day after Christmas

However, should you still need service on these days please contact us and we will do our best to accommodate!

How many dogs are part of the pack for the walk and playgroup?

We keep our packs small, so usually anywhere from 2-4 dogs.

What is your cancellation policy?

We ask that you cancel your walk or playgroup booking by 8pm the evening before your reservation to avoid a $25.00 cancellation fee.

We ask for one week of notice prior to cancelling any boarding reservations to avoid a $75.00 cancellation fee.

We try to be as flexible as possible, but these timelines will ensure other pups on the waiting list get an opportunity to play!

Do you accept same day requests?

We will try our best to accommodate same day requests, but it will depend on how many dogs are booked on our schedule that day.

What is your service area?

For walks and playgroup, we service most parts of Arlington county. For boarding, we are able to accept dogs from the DC metro area.

Will my dog have the same caretaker each time?

Yes! One of the benefits of working with a small business is our ability to ensure that your pup is paired with the same care provider for their Pack experiences. In creating this continuity, we can build trust with both you and your doggo.

Do you offer solo walks?

Not at this time, but contact us if you need a custom service and we will do our best to help!

How do I get started?

Reach out to us HERE to schedule a meet and greet!

Will my dog be off leash?

Your dog will never be off their leash during the nature hike, but will be off leash at the enclosed dog park for playgroup.

What requirements must my dog meet in order to become a pack member?

Your dog must be over 6 months old, spayed or neutered, and up to date on all vaccinations in order to join The Pack.

Are you insured?

Yes, we are licensed, bonded, and insured.

Since The Pack by Daisy is a sole proprietorship, what happens if you are unable to provide care for my dog?

Great question! While we make every effort to honor our commitment to you and your pooch, in the event of an emergency or severe illness, we would be happy to recommend a service that can provide coverage in a pinch. And thank you for helping to support your local small business owner!
