“Mahal” means “love” in Tagalog, the native language of the Philippines where founder, Nicole (Guanlao) Powell was born. Simply put, we love love at mahal marketplace.

 

Combining a genuine love for positivity, plants, (puppies), accessories and one-of-a-kind treasures from antique and thrift shops, mahal marketplace sources and creates unique pieces for YOU and your happy home. There's a thread that binds all of our products together. They, quite simply, make you *feel good.*

 

We pay homepage to the history of each vintage piece by retaining its original design and beauty, while simultaneously breathing new life and purpose for its future owners. We like to think of it as saving something beautiful from being stuffed in a cardboard box, or worst of all... in the garbage.

We genuinely believe that true beauty doesn't fade and "vintage" doesn't mean old. To us, the word stands for beauty and craftsmanship that transcends time.
